Hi
My thinkboxx has just decided to ask me for my activation key again after 5 years of usage. I looked on my v4.0.6 CD and it is not printed on the CD. Any suggestions on how to find my activation key? regards Tony

I found my 2005 invoice with the 4.0.6 activation key matching my motherboard serial number. When I put this in its says it is invalid.
If I type in in the wrong format I get a different message to say it is the wrong format. Tony

Now I have 21 days left before it locks me out.
Bob at thinkboxx.com has been very helpful and his suggestion at present is to go back to 4.0.4 which has no activation key concept. Today I tried powering down (240v, 12V and lithium), reseting the motherboard via 0v and 5v test points. Started the controller up and pushed the jv300 and jv330 firmware down. But no luck it rejects my activation key still. Installed 4.0.6 software on a new computer to ensure the software was not part of the problem. No change. Running out of ideas and generally would rather strick at 4.0.6 than reload the 4.0.4 firmware. Really need a back door activation key.

Well it has been a fun week with this problem. I found some other notes from 2005 and the notes had my activation key with one different character. It seems my printed invoice from 2005 has a mistyped activation key.... ahhhh I won't get those hours back.
Thank you to the forum members who sent me some ideas to try.
