View Full Version : Voice activated home auto for handicap?

A local disabilities organization has asked me to look into what's
available in voice activated home auto for a quad disabled person.

Can I get the groups experience on this added layer to a system?

I've located a few, but I prefer to investigate what's good for them
and my company (ie low maintenance, good reputation)

They are looking at lights, heat, phone, entertainment (tv, cd, etc)

I had suggested a media center PC for the entertainment part to get
everything under one control.

Thanks

Those who need this type of system will tell you there's only one choice...

Is it that much better than HAL (which never impressed me)?

I can't speak from personal experience but a few quadriplegics have told me
it's the only one reliable enough to be trusted.

Can you elaborate on your view of HAL? It's one of the contenders,
but if you have points about it I would like to know.

Thanks

Yo have another simple option,

This remote
http://www.domodesk.com/product/14/14/12/1/MANDO_Activado_por_VOZ.htm
and X10 IR controller, X10 Remote (to teach X10 IR codes) and X10
receivers..

It,s not 2010 ....but work easy way
Best Regards
