Today I replaced the 3v lithium battery and the 12V back-up battery, owing to the system being 9 years old. However since replacing them the minder does not read ANY input. This includes lithium battery voltage, back-up battery voltage, tamper inputs and the 8 on board inputs. It also reports no voltage on the AUX outputs. The ONLY thing it seems to detect is AC.

I also replaced the keypad which was a 5207 v1.6 with a 5207A V1.9.

Other than that the system seems to run fine. Ie the keypad works, if remove the AC the battery holds everything up.

Anyone have any idea of what has gone wrong, and how I might fix it?

PS just to be sure I reloaded the firmware (v4.0.4) and reloaded the config. I even went back to an old config without any luck.

Guess no one has had this before. I managed to buy a working 2nd hand unit and put in to get it going.

I have a feeling one of the on-board voltage regulators has gone pop, so maybe one day I will bring out the old tech books and do some old fashion circuit board repair and see if I can get it to come to life yet again.
