In response to mindesign's post and others:
Has it ever occurred to you guys that the customers are actually the
wankers i.e mindesign?
No offense but these guys try their best to help you and all yous do is
refer to them as idiots and droids. I know that i sure as hell wouldn't
want to help someone who refers to me as a "droid". They are people too
you know. Generally people treat others the way you treat them. So just
think about that next time you go in and treat these sales people like
they are below you.
Probably a good idea to increase your medication, hey? ;-)

Unfortunately if your buying a dishwasher the "specialty" stores are few and
far between.
One could buy from a specific brand outlet but you can bet your last dollar
no matter what the advice is, it's going to be in favour of their brand -
right?
When my old dishwasher finally bit the dust after almost two decades of
faithful service I was faced with the dilemma of finding a suitable
replacement model. I toured the stores, asked the questions and after
getting a consistent answer on one particular model I made the purchase.
Unfortunately all the salespersons who gave me those answers must have
attended the same bullshit product training course. The 3.5 star energy and
water rating was only applicable to the super duper economy water saving
cycle which unfortunately wouldn't remove OJ from a glass that had just been
used, placed in the dishwasher and then had the wash cycle put in progress
straight away. :-( It's only when you finally take delivery of the
appliance and get to read the user manual to discover that the 3.5 energy
star rating is only applicable to the least intensive and shortest / low
water usage cycle, which regrettably doesn't actually wash anything off the
stuff you put into it.:-( The only cycle that actually works okay on the
machine is the most intensive / hottest water / longest cycle setting. At
this point the so called energy rating is probably closer to one star. In
addition the claimed noise rating is also bullshit. It measures a good 15dB
louder than the claimed rating.
Now before you go off half cocked, yes I did also read some reviews on the
Internet. Unfortunately not the right ones it would appear. Had I spent
hours trolling the net for more reviews I would have discovered the model in
question is a crock of shit.
As for the Good Guys (Osborne Park store) - NO I didn't buy the dishwasher
from them as they didn't stock this particular brand / model. I've found
them to be quite okay. Courteous polite service and generally a good price,
so no complaints from me. HN on the other hand - forget them IMHO. One of
their salespersons was adamant I had to have an electrician install a RAC
airconditioner fitted with a standard 10A cord and plug. ROFLMAO. Needless
to say he didn't get the sale.
