Question about projector purchase..

Hello Group,

would you suggest purchasing this 'antique' projector for around 300$
with an additional spare (but not new) lamp? it's a Sony VPL-VW10h:
it seems great from the reviews.. but it went out of production in
2003!

This is a candidate for donation to the Salvation Army. That's what I am
going to do with my VPL-HS20 which is two generations newer than this
projector and has been sitting in a closet for two years.

I wouldn't get it, especially since it doesn't have a new lamp.

It will have a very dim picture.

LCD projectors from that era had very poor contrast.

It doesn't have any digital inputs.

Since it is on its second lamp, it probably has been used for at least 4000
hours, probably more.

You can probably get a new, discontinued model projector for not a whole
lot more that this.
