Just hoping for some advise
I am considering moving to NAKED DSL for broadband access, but currently use the Thinkboxx/Minder for security monitoring to a central service.
What are your thoughts about a GSM dialler for a Thinkboxx/Minder and has anyone connected one.
Alternatively what other digital solutions are available to moving away from a analogue telephone line
If so what brands are recommended and what are the costs?

SOme Naked DSL line come with VOIP POTS line they will work with the minder modem as long as the CODEC is set to G711.
This is not realy very reliable.
There are 3rd party boxes that you just connect to the phone port on minder and they will talk to the security provider via IP then DIALUP then GSM.

But probably more than the price of the Minder.

Thanks Charles
It was the 3rd party boxes that I am trying to find some info on.
I don't think many (if any) people are using a GSM dialler with minder.
The IP with a GSM backup option would be interesting, do you know of any company selling one?
DIALUP is not an option if I go only NAKED DSL in the house
NESS make a product .. http://www.ness.com.au/Brochure/Ness_CyturionGSM_datasheet.pdf
haven't seen any reviews from people using it. Doesn't seem to have an IP interface.
