I went to the PMA convention in Orlando yesterday. Among a lot of other
things, I stumbled upon an amazing little digital projector for stills,
computer, or HDTV, the Canon Realis SX50. Stunning image quality, with
just about invisible pixels and so sharp it hurts your eyes. It is an
SXGA plus projector, with 1440 x 1050 resolution, using LCOS technology,
which is a three chip reflective panel deal (like JVC D-ILA) with pixels
that are right next to each other, almost overlapping, so you don't see
them individually - except for the sharpness of that Canon lens! Check
it out for $5000. Should be able to do a 20 foot screen easily.
