What is needed is a little PIC that can store IR codes, to send those
out when the sound is detected.
Your TV set or other electronics stay on like normal, and the right IR
code is sent.
For HA use, a unit with voltage (logic) sense for on and off. Multiple
input could send different signals.
Given how modern appliances don't like to have the AC shut off, and have
IR remotes, it seems a natural.
