My nVidia 6800 graphic card sees the Dish Network HD monitor as a RCA
Scenium. Dish Network tech support cannot provide any tech info on this
monitor except that Thompson makes it. Thompson/RCA tech support cannot
provide any info because the product is OEM--Dish Network. nVidia Corp.
is closed today because it is President's Day. (Happy Birthday Washington
and Lincoln--a very unhappy birthday to Bush). :)
The problem...I can get a nice 22" diagonal 4:3 format of a game called
The Punisher from the PC to the HD monitor. DVI really works nice BUT I
once was able to get the 4:3 format of the same game to fit top and bottom
which was then even larger then 22" diagonal. In the course of trying to
save and use profiles for the first time I could not and lost this larger
format when I rebooted and made a mess of things when loading the
profile(s).
I am able to return to the 22" diagonal size without loading any profile
but cannot figure, after several days of it, how to properly size this
game to the screen again.
I'm posting this on the off-chance that someone here might identify with
my difficulties understanding and using this nVidia/Dish Network DVI (for
lack of a better monitor name to use) technology.
Any help on who to contact to id the monitor better for technical
specifications would be appreciated.
Any help on who to contact at nVidia, if that is possible, to train me up
on how to use their 6800 dual DVI output card would be appreciated.
Any help at all beyond what I know or don't know would be appreciated.
Thank you.
