Its an old pic of when I just completed my home theatre set up but I thought I 'd put it up anyway.
I've added a second subwoofer and a few other bits since.
Basically its a 6.1 setup
Marantz SR8200
Jamo 8" 3 ways x 6
JBL 12" active sub and now a 10" as well
NEC HT1000 for the projector
How about showing us some of your setups or installs?
Cheers

Here are some of my setup. I'm in a small apartment, so this is somewhat of an accomplishment, and of course I have no female unit since I'd never be able to basically take over the place if so.

EDIT: I fixed my image links above, which I'd accidently broken.
And also the last one is kind of not true anymore since that table now holds my automation controller, which you can see in the demo system gallery (http://www.charmedquark.com/Gallery/CharmedQuarkDemo1/GalleryMain.htm) on the web site, along with a lot of explanation of how it's set up:

Hey great stuff Dean, can you tell us a bit about your equipment? what it is, good or bad points etc. Anything on your wish list?
The basic list is:
1. Lexicon MC-1 processor
2. JVC D-Theater HD VCR
3. Key Digital Leeza video switcher/scaler
4. Sunfire Cinema Grand amp
5. Atlantic Tech. 450THX speakers (5.1, no room for rears for me unfortunately)
6. Dwin HD-700 CRT projector
7. Modified Panny DVD player with SDI output to feed a digital video signal into the Digital Leeza.
8. 92" diagonal Stewart 130 screen.
I don't have any satellite STB right now. I had a 169time modified DTC-100 and AVX-1 so that I could record DirecTV high def stuff onto my HD VCR. But, I'm pretty desparate for bucks right now to keep my business going so I sold those. I never had much time to watch TV anyway. If I get another STB I'll get one that is serially controllable and which has a firewire output for the VCR for recording.
I live in Silicon Valley and I got all of this stuff back in the glory days when money grew on trees around here. It's a nice system for a small apartment like mine. The Dwin is very small and light (65lbs) so it's no problem for this small a space, and it's dead quiet which would also be important in such a small area.
The Lexicon is great but has not 6 channel analog input, so none of the new audio formats are available to me. They added a 6 channel 24/96 digital input to the box, but of course it turned out that none of the new formats are available digitally, so those turned out to be useless.
The Atlantic Tech. speakers are purely HT oriented, and I'm sure that audiophiles would spit on them. But they are good for HT. The sides are triangular so they are somewhat diffuse and somewhat direct. By putting them just slightly behind the listening position, you get a little direct from one face and diffuse from the other face, so I think that they work out pretty nicely.
My room is wierdly shaped, so I have a parametric EQ on the sub to try to tame the worst peaks.
Of course it's all controlled via my CQC (www.charmedquark.com) automation system.

Dean ,
Do you posess any tutorials or how to's. I'm interested in how your software all fits together with other components.

The "Get Started" section of the web site has a lot of tutorial information, so you should read through that. If you come up with any questions, feel free to join the support forum (link is at the bottom of the main web page), and ask any you have. I and others will be more than happy to asnwer them and help you get going.

BTW, the above is no longer valid. There is now a very nice, hands on tutorial. Use Try/Buy link on the main web page (www.charmedquark.com), and then the Try It section. This provides a link to download the installer and a link to the tutorial document. We now ship a little 'device simulator' which will simulate the devices of a small home/home theater, and that allows you to go through the tutorial without having to actually hook up any devices, but have it be quite realistic.
And, under the Documentation section of the main menu, there is an Overview document, and one called Using CQC, which provides a lot of big picture info about how you can put CQC to use and various system configurations with diagrams and whatnot.
Oh, and I fixed the image links in my post above, which I'd broken because I moved stuff around on the web site during the last update.
