Looking for some advice.

First off has anyone used the above website and found it reliable to order
equipment.

Secondly. I have been told that the best composite cables to use are Tech
Link that can be found on the above site or for quickness here:
http://www.av-sales.com/html/techlink.html Now you will notice they cost
and absolute fortune compared to others!!

So, are they worth the money given that if I go for these I'll be spending
in excess of 150 quid on cables. When I can get similar ones for £10 gold
plated etc... from Belkin.

Any Help greatly appreciated.

Nope. You'd be nuts to pay that for cables you wont notice any difference
the belkin will be just as good.
Ive compared QED Squarts etc with many cheaper quality cables and found no
noticeable difference to my eye.

I'm not recommending buying 0.50p cables but any decent £10-£20 quality
branded, gold, sheilded etc are the best to buy.

Techlink cables are excellent. However, av-sales appear to sell them
for comically high prices.

Take a look at www.cpc.co.uk. They sell Techlink cables for between
1/4 and 1/3rd of the price of av-sales.

For example:
1m SCART to SCART
av-cables: 38.14
cpc: 12.68

The CPC part number for the 1m SCART is AV04375.

The CPC website is rubbish to be honest.
It's quite hard to find things if you don't have a catalogue.

Follow this procedure:
1. Search for item no. AV043
2. Click on "Cable Assemblies (71).

You will be presented with three pages of products.
The Techlink products start about half way down the first page,
distinguishable by their shiny connectors.
