Anyone have any experience with this? I understand it is an RCA
television. I am considering this TV (from hhgregg) or the Phillips
34" from Best Buy. The Phillips TV is $1200 and the Dish Network one
is $700. I'm sure the Phillips has better features, but is it worth
the extra $500?

I have seen this TV in person and it has an excellent picture and since it
is directview CRT it does native 1080i. You won't beat the price and if
you are concerned about reliability as I was then you can purchase a 3rd
party extended warranty although I'm happy to report I haven't had any
problems. I have a Proscan 38000 (same as RCA F38310) and have had it for
5 years without a problem. The picture is fantastic and it's still the
largest Directview set on the market at 38".

They are the same TV, what they call "badge engineering", both brands are
made by thompson.
They might have deleted a few features from the RCA, which is the chevy of
the outfit

Thanks to the both of you! I suppose we are going to go with it then.
I can't see paying 500 extra bones for something that is probably only
a couple hundred dollars better.
