I just hooked up my HDTV STB to my new Yamaha receiver. I connected the
component video and digital audio outputs from the STB to the input on
the AVR. I also connected the STB directly to the HDTV via HDMI cable
for viewing without using the AV system. When I choose the cable box as
the input device on the AVR, all I get is audio with no video. Can the
HDMI connection be blocking the STB from transmitting the video signal
through the component outputs to the AVR?
