I have an appliance module that turns itself back on occasionally. This is
used for coffee maker in the morning. I use Active Home software to program
a CM-11. This is the only module that turns itself back on within 10 -20
sec. None of the others in the house, lamp or appliance, are affected. I
have replaced the module 3 times, changed the time settings, changed house
settings and unplugged the CM-11 (without the batteries) for a few hours and
reloaded it. This setup has been in use for about 3 years when this started
about 6 months ago, happening once in a while. Now it is almost an everyday
occurrence. It will even turn itself back on when you use the
mini-controller to shut it off. If you turn the coffee maker off with the
switch on the pot a few minutes ahead and let the module turn off, then
turn the switch back on all is fine. The coffee maker has an indicator light
built into the on/off switch which has a slowly diminishing glow when the
module turns off. I am wondering if the indicator light has aged and is
drawing enough current to cause the module to turn back on. The only thing I
have not tried is to disable the local control in the module.
Any thoughts or ideas.
Thanks
