Does anyone know how to reset the bulb timer on a Toshiba TLP-680
projector? I have replaced the bulb but am unable to reset the built
in bulb timer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I RTFM and IT says "Refer to the Lamp Instructions for how to reset the
lamp timer"
In other words, buy the lamp from Toshiba at least once, save the
instructions, and buy subsequent lamps from third parties.
Other parts of the manual suggest that ONLY Toshiba authorized service
people should open the case AT ALL, including lamp service.
This is not an unusual policy for this class of Business Projectors.
I betcha that there is a hidden service menu that you get to with an
unusual pressing of the buttons on the remote before powering on the
unit that gets you to the Lamp timer, its current setting, and the reset
counter menu item.

Yah, Toshiba Support claims they don't have the answer either, and
can't offer me any ideas...guess thats what I get for going third
party. And the "Refer to the Lamp Instructions..." is all my manual
says too.

If you have no luck searching the Internet for hits on concepts like
"TPL-680 service menu" and variations, you might try finding an AV
integrator that sells Toshiba and has a service department, and asking
someone in the service department to look it up for you in the service
manual.

I found another Toshiba model mentioned that resets by holding down two
volume keys simultaneously for 10 seconds and then turning it on. The
second option says to go into the Settings-Service menus and selecting lamp
reset. I'm not familiar with your model but thought this may be close.
Another mentioned pressing Reset on the remote (if it has one) while in the
menu and it might reset it back to factory timer setting.
