Hi,

I'm also looking for Foxtel Pronto hex codes - specifically the up and
down arrow keys?

David, do you perhaps have these and can you please send to me?

Thanks,

Mark

It depends which STB you have. It'll be here though:

My guide says DSN 700 Series. Thanks for the link but not listed here.
Not sure if equivalent to any of these. How do I get the hex codes from
the CCF files?

Thanks,

Mark

BTW, the Foxtel DSS receivers are listed here:

I have alot of problems with foxtel up and down buttons. You have probably
noticed that it continually scrolls on the screen when up or down is
pressed.

I usually have to learn new codes again for foxtel with all my installations
as the light in the room does seem to affect it a fair bit.
Sometimes what does help is putting a delay after the 'problem code' in the
buttons properties.

I have a few more foxtel hex codes so let me know if you need more to try :)

Yeah, I didn't send you that link in case you had a Pace STB, which aren't
there.

There's 3 different 7xx profiles(which I presume are part of the 700 series,
starting with 700 and all ;)) to try on that page you linked. Google
'prontoedit' or 'tonto' to download and read the .ccf files.

Hi. Many thanks for this/replies. This is hopefully going to save the
day!

Can you send me prontoedit, or where's the best place to download from
so I can extract the hex codes out of CCF files? (prontoedit.com but
seems I need to register, and not sure there's more to it than that)

Thanks.

The codes ReelMan gave me for up and down give the same problem I have -
the up arrow and down arrow is duplicated - it always moves up or down 2
lines - most enoying. All other keys work fine.

Any suggestions?

I'm going to try extract other codes from some of the other CCF files
but don't have a good feeling about this ...

BTW, I'm actually using a pc based remote called IRTrans to record and
then re-transmit remote commands (including these hex commands). Great
product if anyone wants details.

Thanks,

Mark

The pc based remote could be part of the problem too. Alot of installers
have been having trouble with the new foxtel boxes when using learning
remotes and IR repeater systems. I had glitches 90% of the time when using
marantz 5200 or 5400 along with a xantech or similar IR system but never had
a problem when using the Nevo remote whether it be via the same IR system or
via its own RF system.

Tonto is better than prontoedit, particularly with regard to hex codes with
features like 'cleanup' which might solve your repeating problem. Just
search for 'tonto pronto'. Chances are 1 of those 3 .ccfs will have it done
properly anyway.
