I own a Syntax olevia LT37HVS LCD TV. I have noticed that the remote
control seem to be of poor quality. It seems cheap. Has anyone else
noticed this quality issue with these remote controls?

My commercial account manager for a local retailer who shall remain
nameless cites that as the #1 return/repair/complaint problem with
Olevia product. Then, to my horror, I found myself with the same
remote on a low-end Hitachi plasma TV! Fortunately, I just toss them
when using universal remotes for my clients so it's not an issue. Not
sure it helps to tell you you're right, but there it is. Can't you
pick up some of the basic functions for the TV off of another remote?
Do you have a cable box or satellite receiver with a remote that could
be programmed for the Olevia?

Thanks for your feedback. I use a Comcast cable box. I could probably
utilize some functionality from the remote that comes with the cable
box.
