Can Clipsal please review there tunnel terminals in the Din range of relays, dimmers etc. The fixing terminal screws are abysmal to say the least. The terminal tunnel is also undersized in my humble opinion, not to mention the screw head contact patch is of a strange type. Maybe posidrive, I'm unsure. Surley some standardisation in this range is due.
Is anyone else having similar problems.?

you have read my other post?
Yes, they are too small.
Although I have managed to get around the size by using a lug on the end of the wire. This only works for one maybe two wires (with the lugs are back to back), but add stime (and cost) to the installation.
A saddle style clamp with a larger terminal tunnel would be great (similar principle to say what they use on the 6Ka MCB's).
Is there any point in writing this here, do they read it?

Guys,
The issue of terminal size on the Din output units has been known for some time. Clipsal Integrated Systems now uses Clipsal Australia for the production of our plastic associated with the Din enclosures. In the coming weeks (after existing stocks roll out) you will notice a new, slightly different Din output enclosure. The new design is all one piece, (existing 12 module is in three pieces). The other main difference is the cable tunnels and termination hardware is larger.
Let us know what you think.
Some out there does listen so keep the feedback coming.

Hey Phil,
Just got hold of the new body mold for the relays and dimmers. All I can say is thanx, someone is listening. I'm installing a mess of them tomorrow. I'll give you some feed back but it looks like the terminal issue is also resolved.
Good job.!
Cheers

Sure can I just need the time. I'll try to get one tomorrow. I installed about 12 relays and dimmers today. The terminals are much improved over the previous offering. 2 x 1.5mm twisted in one terminal is a snap. 2 x 2.5mm will go in but ONLY just.
Still and all, a major improvement over previous models as well as a decent purchase on many screw drivers as well.
I'll post a piccy or two soon.
Cheers

Not just me I'm sure. At least the problem is fixed. We can now enjoy a product that is a snap to install.
Cheers
