Will tv prices be dropping fast, i.e. should I wait to buy, or go ahead and
buy now? I am interested in getting the Samsung HL-P5063W DLP 50" tv. Can
be had through yahoo shopping online for $2100 ($3000 at Best Buy locally).
I am wondering if I will regret buying it now, should prices plummet in the
next month as I have heard rumors of. Anybody have any insight on price
predictions to help me make my decision? And would I be making any huge
mistake buying the Samsung 50" DLP TV (I do not need thinness of LSC or
plasma, but I do not want the weight or pure projection TVs; the DLP seems
like a good compromise.)

Prices always fall when they introduce the next new model... which will
be sometime in the early spring.

Yes, the Samsung DLP is a great choice. DLP and LCD projection
technology is great.
The Sony LCD Projection TVs are also pretty good too.

Go ahead and wait, in about twenty years they'll be 20 bucks and disposable
A friend just got a 47in samsung rear projector tv for 1,099 with a damn
stand, AND DVI AND TWO COMPONET INPUTS.
What are you waiting for, for them to be given away in boxes of crackerjax?
You remind me of the guy who waited until 1995 to buy a color tv , waiting
for "the price to go down"
You cheapskates just kill me, you know the price of everything and the value
of nothing
