This is probably quite comlicated to accomplish, but a wish.

I am doing several installations with both C-Bus and Andrews audio A-Bus system which provides background music. It would be great to be able to control the volume level of the A-Bus from a C-Bus group address level.

This could be either built into each A-Bus amplifier or a separate 4 or 8 channel interface.

I can see the number A-Bus installations growing very quickly (probably more than C-Bus) and this device would provide a great integrate package.

While I can't answer the question, I will ask another one

How are you finding the A-bus system from Andrews. I believe they "invented" it.

Have you installed any other brands of A-bus equipment, such as russound or Harmon Kardon.

C-bus control over an A-bus volume would be very simplistic. You do not get and source selection etc.

Maybe it could be done via IR. Use an IR output from C-Bus to input to the A-Bus keypad.

Gavin,
Probably could be done but I have to admit I'm not sure and like znelbok said "C-bus control over an A-bus volume would be very simplistic"

I'm interested to know more about the system, I found a few links on the net but nothing of much substance.

Can you give us a link to a site that you'd recommend for more info?

Thanks in advance.

probably worded that badly, what I meant was that volume control only is very simplistic compared to all the commands that can be sent, such as source selection etc.

As to achieving it I have no idea
