Well now that my old Onkyo is sold I have decided to look for a new
receiver. I was going to try to keep the price under $450US or $650 can
but i've decided to spend a little more $900can or about $650US. I
really like the Denon 2105 ($950can) but I know I can get a brand new
Pioneer 1014 for $675can out the door. Oh the dilemma.

Perhaps the dilemma is deciding how much he wants to spend on the
receiver, not which is better.
For instance, my Paradigm Reference Studio speakers are (subjectively)
better than your B&W's.
Both are excellent values IMO, but at different price points. Doesn't
make one a prom queen, and the other the whore from the bowling
alley...

And even if it DID make the other the whore from the bowling alley,
they have their uses too! ; )

Right. The whore from the bowling alley is probably a lot more
satifying.

As I replied to another of your posts, what dilemma?
The Denon is a prom queen and the pioneer is the whore from the bowling
alley. Its a no brainer, really

doesnt have a flipping thing to do with it any more than the "point" on your
head.
The cheapest Denon is miles better in terms of quality and enginerring than
any Pioneer, excepting the elite models and I'm not sure about those. I've
owned both anD pioneers are gimickey, cluttered jury rigged pieces of junk
compared to your average Denon, what the hell does price have to do with it?
Instead of a higher line pioneer get a "lower line" Denon ANDyou will STILL
do better.
In other words I'd rather have a Mercedes bicycle than a top of the line

Then why didn't you SUGGEST a cheaper Denon model in the FIRST place,
as cost WAS one of the issues to be considered? My main point was that
comparing THAT model Denon to THAT model Pioneer wasn't fair. Douche

AND your parasites cost more, doesnt nessesarily make them better, although
having never heard them I would'nt know(and dont really care)

Well, then why did you choose to make such disparaging remarks about my
choice of speakers, way back in the first argument we got into a couple
of months ago, if you've never even heard them? It appears that you
base both your opinions and supposed facts on your almost unlimited
lack of knowledge. Is it even POSSIBLE for you to pull your head out
of your ass?
