As a HA newbie who appreciates all the information everyone here
generously shares, I have been sorting through everything about HA I
could find and recently have bought a PowerLinc USB stand alone, a
Filterlinc, 8 appliance modules (AM466), 5 Wall Receptacle Modules, a
Palm Pad, and a Slimline switch and feel like I am ready to automate my
house to death. I probably will need a 3-way switch to control
fluorescent lighting and a couple of other switches but I will need to
digest and install what I have ordered first before thinking about other
projects.

Most of you already have been using this stuff for years and have
forgotten the excitement of setting this equipment up and seeing it work
for the first time. I am like a kid at Christmas (I can use that word
here can't I?)and can't wait.

I have compiled a lot of information in a Word Document that may be
useful to other new people. The document contains copies of articles
(bookmarked and hyperlinked in an index) and webpage hyperlinks to
information and projects that I have found useful or interesting.
Instead of repeat Googling or bookmarking I collect things that interest
me in Word Documents like this one. I would be happy to share this
information with others. Free. No strings. Just email me and I will
email the document to you. It is a pretty long document. Maybe you
could suggest some additions to it.

Why don't you convert it to HTML and post it on a free webserver?

One word comes to mind:

weblog

Start one and post the links. http://www.movabletype.com is but one of many
places to start.

A lot of information in my Word Document has been copied (not linked to)
from helpful articles and forum discussions on the simple stuff to the
highly (to me) technical that I have read and want to remember. And it
also contains links to things that I may want to reference in the future
as I put together a system. It is an electronic file folder full of HA
articles/discussions/links. Maybe some rainy day in Arizona I will
clean it up with appropriate citations and links but not now.

From what I have seen so far in my Googling travels the HA world does
not need another geeky link page.
