View Full Version : Dumb S-video question!
I may be feeling like :>B when I get th e answer to this question, but here
goes...
I just hooked up a DVD player to a TV using an S-video cable and plain old
composite audio cables (the only 2 connections this TV has). Since S-video
cables only carry video, why then do I lose audio if I disconnect the
S-video cable?

Many TV-sets mute the audio when it doesn't detect a video signal. I
bet it is silent if you tune in to an unallocated HF channel as well.
