Has anybody ever set up the Thinkboxx (or Minder or Jeeves) Central Monitoring function?

I am specifically interested in which companies have been used to do the monitoring.

Is there any tricks or catches?

How do the monitoring companies respond when approached? i.e. is it a straight forward process, or is it all a bit difficult, given they probably have never heard of a Thinkboxx.

Regards

Rohan

So I guess no one has done this?

I would have hoped that somebody from Thinkboxx would be monitoring here and use the opportunity to promote their product.

I guess not, they are just hopeless, they seem to be doing everything possible to kill off what is and could continue to be, a great product.

Hi Rohan,

I have setup monitoring through Chubb on only a couple of systems, and that was some time ago (years) with Minder. It was soooo much fun I dropped the concept as a "too hard" experience, it works butis not fun at all. Most, if not all companies like to use known systems, as you are probably aware.

So does it work ?
yes,
Is it fun?
no,
Would I bother to do it again?
no.
cheers

First things you need to clarifiy is >>

What software version you got?
What firmware version are you running in your "box"??

This will dictate any other answers you probably get.

Smart Company themselves put a readme file in the programs folder
(supplied with every version of "the box " software ), about known
bugs/fixes with "security central monitoring" and other stuff.

older versions of software than 405 had serious issues with particular security formats.
