Call the vendor and ask. All laptops have their own quirks about how to
properly setup their TV output.

An s-video outlet (on anything) has no audio on it. If you want sound you
need to pull two cables out of most computers, laptops included. One for
the video and the other from the sound card. This is often a headphone
output. Take great care, however, when trying to drive external audio
equipment from headphone jack. You can damage both of them. Most AV
equipment wants a line level signal and most laptops don't have a line level
output.

It would appear most laptops have video output capabilities not for watching
movies but for presentations. As such it's no surprise to see them lacking
in movie playback features.

Finally, unless the laptop has an RF output you won't see it on a channel.
I've not seen a laptop with that built into it. I'm sure somewhere out
there a laptop exists that has one but it's not going to come from an
s-video connector. In order to get the video from the laptop onto a TV
channel it's necessary to use an RF modulator.

More importantly, however, this probably isn't the right newsgroup to ask
laptop video questions.
