Thanks for the response details are as shown below

Minder Version ? (only purchased about 2 months ago from Clipsal)
Minder Software (Using Thinkboxx 4.06)
Minder Firmware ( Updated using Thinkboxx 4.06 to ithink it was j300 firmware)
Operating System on PC Win XP Pro

Well you can solve this very easily.
Most probably a licencing issue.
I'd suggest contacting Smart.

Have spoken to smart as only purchased software a fortnight ago but still no response from them?

Try shutting down the C-Bus software, as this uses the comms, preventing the Minder software grabbing the comms port, then click on the lightning bolt symbol in the tool bar - the status bar should then show "Project Started" which basically means you have comms
