? Turns Itself On, Yamaha HTR-5760 ?

I have the above model surround sound receiver. Every now and then the
thing turns itself on out of the blue. Did it in the middle of the
night last night.

Now I know it has a sleep timer to turn it off, but why in the heck
does it turn itself on once a week or so?

I've been all through the book and can't find reference to any clock or
alarm function.

Help!!

Check the batteries in the remote. If they are running down,
they can do weird things, like you describe.

Try connecting it through a UPS or at least a surge suppressor to see
if powerline spikes could be the source of the problem.
