yeah Sony is useless, apparently the de-315 wasn't as popular as other Sonys
so no paperwork on PDF, the remote is easier, but would be nice to get an
original

Sony's Manuals can be downloaded from the link below, but yes I see
what you mean that receiver is not listed, however I would have thought
the DE-310 or DE-325 would be fairly similar to the DE-315. Looking at
these manuals may help with what ever you are trying to do.

In a pinch - Select the STR DE-525. It's a different unit, with extra inputs
(extra video, 5.1 etc.) but the instructions will be close enough to be able
to tune in stations and to use the rest of the functions.

You can get a photocopy from the service agent in Melbourne (for a fee!). I
can't remember their name - but any shop that sells Sony will tell you who
they are.

If Phil is reading this I know he's told people before.

Look for a 2nd hand Sony receiver remote at cash converters etc. You can get
universal remotes, but these rarely work properly for all functions. If you
are prepared to spend the cash, there is a pretty decent Sony Remote that
works most of their stuff available at JB for a bit under $200.
