Thanks to all who responded, now where is the best place to buy Belden or
equiv cable and connectors in Bris?

40 metre interconnects are you kidding!!!. Bad ...very bad.

10 metre speaker cable runs are also not ideal (this is one time when
shorter is better ;-) ) Although over 10 metres any difference is
minimal.

My understanding it is always better to have long speaker runs than
interconnects.

When did a projector require a long speaker run?

Try Madison Technology or Page Data.

Well Rod you see you can place your Receiver and other components at
one end of the room near to your projector, in which case you will need
short interconnects for your projector and a long speaker run or at the
other end of the room with your Fronts etc, in which case you need a
short speaker runs (except the rear effect speakers) and a long a/v
interconnect.

Good in theory, however, in this case room geometry dictates the AV equip
will be at the screen end of the room and the projector 2/3 way back.

thanks anyway

However, the projector does not need the long speaker run (unless you are a
tightwad, and use the amplfier in the projector for the speakers), the
receiver or amplifier will need the long speaker runs.
