I just bought the V750 and am amazed by how good it sounds now I've got it
home!!

650 should be much the same (a little less power, but hey o who's
counting?)..

Main reasons I forked out the little bit extra were:
1) Component Video upscaling (650 just upscales to S-Video), which means
once I get around to buying a decent TV I will only need 1 set of leads to
TV for all my sources (even the struggling old VCR)

2) Learning remote - is available seperately, but means I can now control
Foxtel from the 1 main remote as well as all other components (Big selling
point for the wife!)

Of course these differences may not seem sufficient to justify the extra
$200, in which case get the 650 - Its still a bloody good amp!

Look around for prices - http://www.castlehillhifi.com.au have a good deal
on Yamahas at the moment and if they arent local you can usually get your
local dealer to price match them!

I have just purchased the RXV-450 and I am very happy with it despite being
confused about setting all the parameters. I paid exactly $500 from HN
