Hi all

I am hoping that someone out there might be expert enough and be able
to spare a few minutes to help us set up a system we have going.

We have the following units:

LG DT50PY10 50" Plasma TV
LG LH-D6246 system - includes LH-D6246A DVD player and LHS-D6246T and
LHS-D6246W speakers
Liteon LVW-5001 (or maybe LVW-5005) DVD recorder
Foxtel digital box

We want to be able to run both the DVD player and the Foxtel via the
DVD recorder (allowing us to record). We would also like, if possible,
to have all audio coming out of the speakers supplied with the LG DVD
(is this possible?)

But all these cords have been giving me a headache for the last 12
hours, and nothing seems to work the way we want it.

Could anyone out there spare some minutes and possibly advise me how
to hook all these cords in? I can supply scans of the back of the
equipment if needed, if this would make it easier?

Any help is appreciated by myself, and also by my father who is having
his 60th birthday tomorrow (which is why we got the TV as a present
for him)

I guess either leave a message here, or email me directly.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Scotty

Hi Scotty

A scan of your LG LH-D6246 systemw would help. These all in one
systems have limited inputs/outputs and it may be difficult to feed all
of these into the system. If there are not enough inputs then you may
need to do a patch up job using something like 'this'
for these inputs.

Here are the scans of the systems

Sorry, can't find the Foxtel Digital unit scan.

In regards to Thornton Melon (great movie btw), have done all of these
one by one, but something just isn't working out right -- it's probably
me, but after piss farting about with this for going on 48 hours, I am
basically ready to box everything up and throw it out. Not to mention,
pulling my hair out.

Sorry Scotty for all your problems. Take the LG LHD6246 back and exchange
it for a decent RECIEVER and start again!!!
To compliment a 50" PLASMA you need a "half decent sound system" if you
like i will point you in the right direction, are you in Sydney.
Regards
Thornton.

I second that Thornton, too many people focus too much on one aspect of
their system and neglect others, meaning they dont get the best out of
any of their components.
