Recommendations for a sub $4k 76cm LCD TV?

Hi group,

I'm looking to buy a 76cm widescreen HD LCD. Until about a week ago I
was going to purchase a Sony 86cm widescreen tv (KVHR86M31) which has
an excellent picture and support for all HDTC resolutions (576p, 720p
and 1080i). However when I started checking all the usual stores I
found that LCDs have come down heaps in the last couple of months and
now may be in my price range. I'd prefer an LCD because the Sony weighs
90 kgs and has a huge footprint. I don't mind going for the smaller
screen (ie. 76 cm LCD vs 86 cm CRT) but I'm having trouble comparing
CRTs to LCDs. Given that the sticker price on a KVHR86M31 is now $3450
at Retravision, is there an equivalent LCD I should be looking at?
