afaik, the dvi is a digital connection.. so technically you wont be
changing the signal..
whereas component is analog. and would be inferior quality..
technically.

i am shocked that they would sell a plasma screen without a dvi !!!

dvi is definitely the way to go imho

I wouldn't be so worried.

Unless you have a digital source that has the exact same resolution as the
screen has (which is rare, ubless you're running a HTPC, or a scalable
output device) there will always be scaling in the panel, so the direct 1
for 1 digital input is moot. In fact, a lot of panels rescale the image in
the analogue domain - ie, DVI input --> analogue scaler --> digital panel
(this is discussed on AVS forums). Therefore there is not much to be gained
from having a DVI or HDMI input.

IMHO, I would pick the pana panel over a Lucky Goldstar panel, but that's
just me....

Given the choice of the same quality panel, I'd of course always go with the
one with DVI/HDMI for obvious reasons.
