View Full Version : Help! Foxtel and LG Plasma TV problem

I have an LG RT-42PX10 Plasma TV.
I first set it up for free to air TV using the LG HD STB (LST4100P) via
the DVI input. Awesome picture and sound.
Then I got Foxtel, only to find I have inferior picture quality. I
believe they call it "solarization" (DVD's still look great, its only
TV that looks crap).
The set up I have now is that the Foxtel box is run directly to the TV
using a Crest SCART to RGB/2RCA cable. (I originally used the FOXTEL
supplied AV cables and that was much worse. The Crest cable has
improved the picture a bit but not enough)
Obviously the component input is not nearly as good as the DVI. Do you
know of any way that I can get the Foxtel box to run into the DVI input
on my TV? Will that improve the quality or is Foxtel sending out an
inferior signal?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
